Statewide Criminal Records

Check

This is a statewide search of criminal records directly from the state central repository or clerk of courts (when applicable), NOT a database search. The "central repository" is the designated/regulatory agency of each state that maintains criminal history records of those individuals whom have been subject to that state's criminal justice system. The vast majority of these records are reported from county courts and law enforcement.

Results: Same day-48hrs (depends on the state; additional delays are possible if record is found)

Benefit: Covers a broader search area within the state where criminal records may exist outside of the county-level criminal check where applicant has lived, worked, or studied.

Considerations: The statewide criminal search is only as accurate and current as the counties reporting. Many counties are not reporting, reporting regularly, and/or not providing final arrest dispositions. Therefore, this search should only be used as a supplement to on-site county criminal checks and if state is available.

National Criminal Database Check and Sex Offender Registry

Most comprehensive coverage for criminal records for one low fee! 

47-state jurisdictional database search and contains over 135 million offense records. Records are compiled from state correctional institutions, state and county court records, and state sex offender registries. Most records date back at least 10 years and updated regularly. Note : This is a broad-based search performed by name and date of birth match. It is particularly valuable for both identifying other states and counties to search that may not be revealed in the Identity Trace and reveal criminal histories that may exist in other states and jurisdictions. This search should be used as a supplement to a county level check (See Disclaimer on bottom of page).

County Level Criminal Records Check

(Package Component)

7yr search of county-level criminal court records that will uncover county level felony and misdemeanor criminal records. Both upper and lower courts from the county seat are searched since criminal records are often housed in separate courts, within the same county, based on the severity of offense. Upper courts typically contain felony records and lower courts typically contain misdemeanor records.

Results: Typical TAT is same day-72hrs (depends on the jurisdiction; additional delays are possible if record is found).

Recommended: All applicants and counties searched where applicant has lived, worked, and studied for past 7 years. This is a physical hand search and the most current, accurate, and reliable way available to uncover a criminal history if one exists, guaranteed!

Motor Vehicle Record Check

Motor vehicle driving history and will reveal motor vehicle violations, suspensions, revocations, type of license, and restrictions. 1-2 business days.

Recommended: Applicant who would be driving a truck, company car or using machinery. State fees not included.

Note: GA Requires a notarized release.

Identity Trace                  

(Package Component)

Reveals names, date of birth or approximate age, and addresses associated with a given Social Security Number. 1-2 business days.

Note : Search helps verify applicant's movement patterns as indicated on their application. It also serves to locate other jurisdictions to check for a possible criminal history.

Recommended : All applicants.

Provides verification of  your choice of employment, professional license or education information supplied by applicant. Typical TAT is same day-72hrs.

Employment - dates of employment , job title, starting and ending salary, and other general comments by employer as available.

Professional License - license type, issuing jurisdiction/state, license number, date issued, expiration date, and license status.

Education - dates attended, degree claimed, and major.

7yr "Hand search" by county in the upper court. Search is conducted by searching under both Plaintiff and Defendant. Typical results will include case type, claim amount, case disposition, and judgments.

Note: If your applicant has an outstanding and uncollected judgment, you may be subject to third-party garnishment. This can be very costly and time consuming for employers!

Eviction History

National database search of tenant evictions. Search by Defendant, individual or business, per state; all available records are returned. 1-2 business days.

Note : Since this is a database search, search results should be verified prior to making a rental decision.
